The Leading By History Collective is comprised of dedicated teacher-leaders focused on increasing student achievement and teacher effectiveness. Each LBH presentation is designed to bring attendees on a journey through time by showcasing effective, research-driven strategies for teachers and school leaders alike. 

Our History

Leading By History was founded by veteran teacher, instructional coach and specialist - Ma'asehyahu Isra-Ul as a way of supporting and encouraging history teachers in the city of Richmond, Virginia. Over time it has become a Professional Learning Community working to positively impact the teaching world through the use of historical narratives which guide each LBH professional development.

The LBH digital footprint emphasizes history, educational leadership, and student leadership potential. All are welcomed – and LBH looks forward to helping you lead by history!
