What is R.E.A.L. History? - REAL history is an approach to history developed by Ma'asehyahu Isra-Ul to support K-12 educators in teaching students a history which is clear, diverse, and accurate. R.E.A.L. stands for instruction which is Relevant, Engaging, Active and Living. This means that teachers should be looking to guide students through a study of history (local and international) which engages places and resources in a synergistic way. Students should (whether virtual or actual) be visiting the places where the history was birthed. They should be getting their information from the sources (primary and secondary) which were central to the times and places of the characters and events of the history in question. R.E.A.L. history is not about indoctrination but about the search for truth and the process of learning. - More to come!
